NBEAC awarded accreditation to KUST-IBS in first attempt

KOHAT: The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) Peer Review Team (PRT) and the Accreditation Award Committee (AAC) has awarded accreditation to the Bachelor of Business Administration Program of the Institute of Business Studies, Kohat University of Science and Technology-KUST for three years in first attempt under Category X. This is particularly to mention that the Institute of Business Studies, KUST is among the very few business schools of the province having accredited by the NBEAC.

The Peer Review Team (PRT) hold detailed discussions with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Sardar Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Tasleem Hussain, Dean Social Sciences, Professor Dr. Murad Ali Khan, Director IBS, Dr. Wisal Ahmad, Director QEC, Director ORIC, Director Admission, Director Academic, Treasurer, Faculty, students as well as IBS alumni while reviewing the assessment reports.

The NBEAC Peer Review Team assessed the Institute of Business Studies, KUST upon nine key standards including Strategic Management of the Institute, Curriculum quality, Students’ enrollment record, Faculty research performance, Research and Development, Involvement of the Business Institute in Social Responsibility activities, Resources, University and Industrial Linkages, Admission policy and Assessment practices of the Institute. The Peer Review Team (PRT) members appreciated the team efforts, activities and events held at the Business Institute. The five years Strategic Plan of the Institute as well as active involvement of IBS in various CSR activities such as “Donation for IDPs, Gifts for Orphans, and Ramadan Dastharkhwan” were highly appreciated.

Dr. Wisal Ahmad, Director IBS particularly acclaimed the role of each member of the NBEAC accreditation team of the Institute and the Focal Person of this team. He termed this success as the success of the entire team. He further expressed full commitment to continue raising the standards of quality education at the Institute in light of the suggestions of National Business Education Accreditation Council. Towards further growth of the Business Institute, he asserted that in near future, new academic programs having market potential will also be included in the existing pool of programs.

The Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Sardar Khan congratulated the entire IBS-NBEAC Team on this remarkable success and said that KUST will maintain the highest quality standards of education, research and linkages with industry.

He said that Kohat University of Science and Technology will continue its journey of internationalization and develop more National and International linkages in order to achieve the standards comparable with global standards.

The Vice Chancellor highly appreciated the well-coordinated efforts of Director Institute of Business Studies, the IBS-NBEAC Team, Dean Social Sciences, Director ORIC, Registrar, Treasurer, Director Academics and Director students’ affairs. The Director of IBS also thanked the Vice Chancellor and all KUST family for their commitment and full support in the entire accreditation process.
