MOSCOW (RIA Novosti): The cost of gas in Europe has renewed a historical record, exceeding the mark of $ 880 per thousand cubic meters.
This is evidenced by the bidding data.
The price of the October futures on the Dutch TTF index at 9:35 am Moscow time was $ 841.39 per thousand cubic meters, and by 10:21 it had reached $ 851.27.
The previous record was recorded yesterday – $ 810 per thousand cubic meters. Prior to this, the mark reached 750, 710 and 670 dollars.
Experts believe this is due to the low occupancy rate of European underground gas storage facilities due to the cold winter last year.
In addition, there is uncertainty about the launch of Nord Stream 2.
