Banks will remain close on April 4

KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan, commercial banks, DFIs and MFBs will remain closed for public dealing on Monday.

The day will be observed as bank holiday for deduction of Zakat, said SBP release.
First of Ramzan ul Mubarak is officially fixed for Zakat deduction from account holders’ deposited amounts falling in Zakat category.

However, employees of all banks, Development finance institutions, microfinance banks will attend the office on Bank Holiday treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealing).
